- In the Wake: Aesthetic Cartographies of the Black Atlantic - America: Students will analyze the complexities of topics concerning Blackness and Black life rendered in Western visual culture.
- By engaging with readings and lectures, the class will discuss how aesthetics from the African diaspora is multifaceted and influential to producing Western media and popular culture.
