- Offers students an opportunity to develop and improve their academic writing skills while preparing a sole-authored article for potential publication.
- Requires each student to present a paper in-progress and, through an iterative process of review and revision, have it ready to submit to a journal by the end of the semester.
- Students comment, orally and in writing, on the papers presented by the other students over the course of the semester.
- There are regular assignments from leading texts on mechanics and style in writing and reflections on the peer-review and publication processes from multiple perspectives.
- May be repeated once.
