- Designed to prepare PhD students with a concentration in marine sciences for a career in their field by offering an opportunity to learn fundamental aspects of the discipline through readings.
- Each student works with their Northeastern committee members at their first committee meeting to identify one reading topic per committee member.
- Committee members provide guidance for the student’s readings around their topic.
- Students meet with each committee member throughout the semester to discuss the readings, ask questions, and clarify any aspects of their topics.
