- Topics include the utility and clinical implications of monitoring technology available in the acute-care setting, the acute-care environment and its impact on patient and family systems, and the concepts of stress, grief, and coping.
- Also addresses the advanced nursing management of the multiple trauma patient and the related physiologic and clinical concepts.
- Opportunity is provided for exploration and development of concepts unique to each student's area of concentration within the acute-care specialization.
