- Focuses on providing the student with clinical learning experiences in the coordination and delivery of primary healthcare nursing services to adults and their families, with emphasis on underserved populations.
- Studies how to assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions and illnesses commonly encountered in adult populations.
- Students build on a foundation of practice behaviors in health assessment, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Requires students to practice in the clinical setting a minimum of sixteen hours per week.
