- Focuses on providing the student with clinical learning experiences in the coordination and delivery of primary-care nursing services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults and their families within the context of their culture and community.
- Studies how to assess, diagnose, and manage stable chronic conditions and acute episodic illnesses commonly encountered in childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood.
- Students build on a foundation of practice behaviors in health assessment, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Requires students to practice in the clinical setting a minimum of twenty hours per week.
