- Offers students interested in gaining basic or clinical research experience an opportunity to work under the direction of an experienced researcher at an appropriate site.
- Students can elect either a basic science (lab-based) preceptor or a clinical (patient-based) preceptor.
- Students can expect to be an active participant in a variety of different research activities and experiences that are deemed appropriate by the preceptor.
- The research efforts of the student may result in a peer-reviewed research abstract and/or presentation.
- May be repeated up to two times.
